Palomar® Laser System
Imagine having smooth, hair-free skin without the need for shaving, waxing, plucking or having to go through electrolysis to remove your unwanted hair. Unlike these treatments, our procedure is easy. Using the latest technology, we offer safe, fast, effective and permanent hair removal treatments for both men and women.

The Palomar ® laser system offers an extremely effective way to safely and permanently remove unwanted body hair without damaging the delicate pores and structures of the skin. FDA approved for hair removal, areas that are safely treated include the face and bikini areas, armpits, back and legs.

The Palomar ® system uses a long-pulse, high-energy laser that emits a gentle beam of light that passes through the skin to the hair follicle where it is absorbed. The laser energy is transformed into heat, which destroys the hair follicle and leaves the surrounding skin unaffected. The skin is further protected during treatment by the system's "Dynamic Cooling Device" where a cool cryogen mist is sprayed onto the skin, cooling the upper layers and providing patients with increased comfort. The system selectively helps to protect the skin while effectively treating the unwanted hair.

How many treatments you might need depends upon your skin color, hair color and coarseness of the hair. Since hair grows in cycles, and the process is only effective on hair during the early growing cycle, everyone will require repeat sessions.

Spider Veins
Spider veins appear as red or purple thread-like structures on the skin surface, and can occur on the face, neck, chest and legs. They are superficial blood vessels that are found on almost everybody. In the legs, they can be found alone or in combination with varicose veins. Alone, they are not a health risk, but often are a cosmetic concern.

Spider veins are generally an inherited condition occurring when small capillaries dilate on the surface of the skin. There are larger veins called reticular or "feeder" veins that are the source for spider veins. Spider veins can worsen for a variety of reasons.

To treat them, we use state-of-the-art technology and a unique combination therapy. Our approach involves the use of sclerotherapy with hypertonic saline followed by a vascular laser. Sclerotherapy involves injection of a sclerosing agent into the blood vessels causing the walls to become swollen and inflamed. Right afterwards, a Vbeam pulsed dye laser is then used to heat the vessels. By causing "double damage" -- the sclerosing agent and direct heat to the vessel walls -- they collapse and disappear. During your consultation, you will be given recommendations tailored to your specific condition, which may include one or both of these treatments.

Our distinctive treatment approach will improve your appearance and, like with many patients, your self confidence. The veins will begin to appear lighter after each session. Two to three sessions are usually required to achieve the maximum outcome. The appearance of the vessels will continue to improve for up to one or two months after treatment. Pain associated with treatment is minimal. Sclerotherapy will involve a slight needle prick and mild burning while the laser will produce a little cold stinging sensation.

Laser Photo Rejuvenation
What is PhotoRejuvenation?
PhotoRejuvenation is a series of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments that improve the appearance of Rosacea, flushing and sun-damaged skin, age spots, skin texture, and photo aging. Treatment also improves the appearance of mild acne scars, reduces large pores, corrects dark circles around the eyes, and reduces fine lines. Additionally, this exhilarating treatment involves little to no "down time." Normal activities immediately resume.

How does the treatment work?
PhotoRejuvenation before/after photoAn intense light is applied as a series of gentle pulses to the treatment area. Without damaging the skin, the light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the abnormally dilated vessels or pigmentation. Heat then impairs the targeted vessels or lesions, and the body begins a natural healing process. Lesions darken before they flake off or are absorbed by the body. Treatment can take place as frequently as every three weeks.

How many treatments will I need?
For optimal results, a series of five treatments are recommended. Some patients see significant improvement with two to three treatments while others might require more. Follow-up treatments may be needed once a year to maintain desired results.

What are the benefits of PhotoRejuvenation?
  • Improved appearance due to sun spots, age spots, dull complexions, uneven pigmentation, large pores, sun-damaged skin, and early signs of aging
  • Improves red flushing skin, Rosacea, and broken capillaries
  • Enjoy smoother skin that has a more even tone
  • Minor discomfort during treatment
  • Immediately resume regular activities
What is a treatment like?
Treatment time may range anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes. First, the treated area is cleansed and a cool gel is applied. Next, the light treatment is delivered, accompanied by only a minor sensation of discomfort. After treatment, the gel is removed, the area is cleansed, and a sunblock is applied. For those with sensitive skin, a cool compress may be applied following treatment.

Are there any possible side effects?
Side effects are rare. Right after treatment, the skin may appear flushed, brown pigmented spots may appear darker, and capillaries may be more visible. In rare instances, temporary swelling and/or blistering can occur. Limiting sun exposure for several weeks prior to and after treatment will greatly minimize the risk of complications.

What improvement will I see?
Many patients see a 70% to 90% improvement following treatment and most patients are very happy with their results. After successive treatments, the skin will feel much smoother and appear to have a more even tone.

PhotoRejuvenation in treating Rosacea.
As many as seventy-million Americans have undesirable redness and/or sun-damaged skin. Sun exposure, alcohol, medication, stress, and aging often worsen the appearance of Rosacea. Rosacea is a common skin condition characterized by redness and flushing skin. PhotoRejuvenation treatments control flushing and, in many cases, reduce the need for topical cortisone creams and antibiotics.

Titan™ for FaceLift
The natural aging process, along with sun damage and environmental damage, causes collagen fibers to stretch and loosen like worn rubber bands, resulting in less elastic skin that, over time, eventually droops or sags. This condition, frequently one of the earliest signs of aging, is often overlooked because most people are unaware of the problem and the marked improvement its correction can provide. Like many people, you want to offset this course and look younger, but without the expense, pain, and recovery time of an invasive surgical procedure.

Titan face lift before/after photoThere's an alternative treatment that requires no anesthesia, no scalpel, and no downtime, that is delivered quickly at a fraction of the cost. It's called Titan™ skin tightening.

The Titan™ ("tighten") procedure is a safe, non-surgical rejuvenation process that uses an infrared light source to tighten skin and reverse the signs of aging. The Titan™ heats the dermis to cause collagen contraction while preserving the epidermis through continuous cooling. In addition, Titan™ can stimulate long-term collagen rebuilding that leaves patients with younger, firmer looking skin.

The Titan™ skin tightening system consists of a hand-held, infrared light source and an attached cooling system that protects the skin. The infrared light penetrates the deep, inner layers of the skin, uniformly heating the existing collagen and subsequently causing it to shrink and firm up. This shrinkage promotes long-term collagen production, which lifts the targeted areas and gives the patient a smoother, more toned appearance. While the infrared light source heats the collagen, the cooling attachment continuously cools the surface skin in order to protect the skin's epidermal surface and prevent any heat-related damage.

The result? A smoother, tighter, more toned look that occurs naturally.

Used to treat lax and redundant skin throughout the body, Titan™ is appropriate for any area of the face, neck, or body where there are wrinkles or mild sagging caused by loose skin, such as the brow region, cheeks, jowls, neck, abdomen, thighs, back of arms, elbows, and knees. The Titan™ laser safely and comfortably tightens the skin. Since the Titan™ procedure is heating tissue under the skin's surface, patients of any skin type can be treated. Men and women of all ages have been successfully treated. Our consultant can advise you if Titan™ is right for you.
